Company Certificications

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard for quality management systems (QMS). It is maintained by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and is applicable to any organisation, regardless of its size or the industry it operates in. The primary goal of ISO 9001 is to help organisations establish and maintain effective processes to consistently deliver products or services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Product Certificates

Product certification indicates that a product has been independently tested or verified. Fire product certification assures performance, quality, reliability and traceability of products and systems.
The product certification markings that apply to Global Fire Equipment’s products are the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR) CE marking and the UK Conformity Assessment (UKCA) marking.

Construction Products Regulation (CPR) CE marking

The CPR (Construction Products Regulation) is a European Union regulation that sets out the harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products within the EU. Its purpose is to ensure that reliable and consistent information on the performance of construction products is available across all member states.
EN54 is a specific suite of European Standards that fall under the scope of the EU CPR. EN54 compliance allows manufacturers to affix the CE marking, indicating that their fire detection and alarm products meet the necessary requirements for placement in the market and use within the European Union.
In 2021, Global Fire Equipment was awarded EN 54-13:2017+A1:2019 approval by an international third-party accredited laboratory for our entry level and high-end addressable fire detection and alarm systems. This latest EN 54-13 approval guarantees that each individual component of our fire systems will work in conjunction with the other components which, in turn, conform to the relevant standard for that particular component.

UK Conformity Assessment (UKCA) marking

The UK Conformity Assessment (UKCA) marking scheme was introduced on 1 January 2021. It is used for products that are placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). It applies to most products that were previously subject to the European Union’s Construction Products Regulation (CPR) CE marking.
The UKCA marking can be used now, however the EU’s CPR CE marking will remain valid until 30 June 2025 for most goods that are being placed on the market, or put into service in England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland will continue to use EU CPR CE marking or the new UKNI marking. Global Fire Equipment is implementing the necessary changes to achieve full UKCA compliance before 30 June 2025.
