A message to GFE customers, partners and suppliers (Test blogs)

I’m delighted to announce that we are joining Ampac, a leading manufacturer of fire detection and evacuation systems. Ampac is part of Halma – a global group of almost 50 technology companies, employing over 8,000 people in more than 20 countries, with major operations in the UK, Mainland Europe, the USA and Asia Pacific. Halma is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 index.

Throughout our discussions it also became clear that GFE’s purpose is strongly aligned to Ampac’s of preventing loss of life and catastrophic damage caused by fire. 

The opportunity to join Ampac is one that comes at the right time for us as a business. As a leader in fire safety systems, Ampac offer us the opportunity to accelerate our efforts of preventing deaths and/or damage by fire. At the same time, being part of a larger group offers us access to additional resources, networks and expertise that we would normally not have access to.   

For the immediate future, I will continue to focus on international sales and R&D projects. Current Operations Director, Fernando Oliveira, is being promoted to General Manager of GFE and will take over the day-to-day operations from me.

It’s important to note that we don’t anticipate any immediate changes to the way we work or any impact on roles – we carry on as we are, delivering the fantastic products and service we pride ourselves on and help customers around the world.
